Congressman Steve King: Fighting for Free Enterprise in Iowa

Congressman Steve King (R-Iowa) has a strong record of fighting to repeal onerous regulations and tax increases on Iowa’s job creators and taxpayers. As a former contractor, Rep. King understands the importance of open completion and free-enterprise.

In the 112th Congress, Rep. King’s voting record to prohibit government-mandated project labor agreements (PLAs) on federal construction projects is flawless (Roll Call No.’s 302, 267, 413, 396, and 26). Combined with his tireless efforts to repeal the antiquated, dysfunctional and costly Davis-Bacon Act, Rep. King is poised to create more jobs for Iowa’s skilled construction workforce and ensure that taxpayers get the best possible project at the best possible price.

Rep. King is not afraid to fight for taxpayers and oppose laws written by Big Labor’s lobbyists and passed by their cronies in Congress that increase the federal deficit and are rife with waste, fraud, and abuse.

The construction industry and taxpayers have a friend in Rep. King and need to do all that they can to send him back to Washington to represent the citizens of the redistricted IA-04 in the 113th Congress.
