How much did the Union give to Mary Figueroa, Jose Medina and Mark Takano for thier campaigns? Is this public record? How can I find out? Something here is fishy.

I found out this evening at the city of Long Beach council meeting this exact set of circumstances in dealing with a proposed PLA agreement for contruction on the city owned airport. The way these politicians try to push through these agreements is scarry. One coucil person tried to get pulic hearings on what a PLA is. Truthfully prior to tonight I'd never heard of it. She was shot down 6 to 2, and the measure to go foward with the city managers recomdations passed 7 to 1. Needless to say she was the only opposing vote.
I belong to the citys union, and I think this is bunk. To pay unions to not represent workers is assanign! Isn't that what a union is for. Our union is one of the weekest I've ever be assoiated with, we don't make the monies that the surronding city empoyees make due to budget constraints. This project isn't out of the general funds so they can spend willy nilly without raising many eyebrows. The liberals are paying back the unions for getting them back in to power, I for one hope it blows up in there face. These PLA's are just wrong!
